THE BANNERS ARE UP!!! And you know what that means… we’re getting ready to kick off our 9th season of the MANTA MARKET! 
Our students are just as excited as we are!
Why the Manta Market? Well, our LBHS mascot is, of course… the MANTA! 
But what makes this market so special is that it gives back to our students!

75% of vendor fees supports our LBHS Fine Arts programs, Fine Arts scholarships, and several school clubs. The remaining 25% covers security, custodial services, and advertising.
A LITTLE MANTA MARKET HISTORY! 
Did you know the Manta Market began nine years ago after the beloved Placida Art Market closed?
As both an artist/vendor and an Art teacher at LBHS, I had gotten to know so many wonderful local artists. When the market closed, we were all looking for an affordable place to sell our work. I thought, why not create a market that supports local artists, brings our community together, AND benefits our students?
We started with 30 artists willing to take a chance on a brand-new market. Nine years later, we’ve grown to OVER 90 VENDORS and sell out well before the season even begins!
Our vision was simple: create an affordable, successful market for artists, offer a wonderful event for locals and visitors, and raise funds for our LBHS Fine Arts students.
Nine seasons later, we’re so proud of what this market has become!
To our incredibly talented vendors, loyal patrons, and everyone who has supported us along the way… THANK YOU!
